Nyls Korstanje Matches Dutch 50 Fly Record As He Secures Golden Double In Rotterdam<\/h4>\n

Nyls Korstsanje<\/strong> matched his Dutch 50 fly record before sprinting to the 50 free title as the Rotterdam Qualification Meet<\/strong> wrapped up.<\/p>\n

Korstanje went 22.88 to equal the Netherlands mark he set in the semis at the 2022 European Championships in Rome where he went on to finish fourth in the final.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old was the only man inside 23secs with Thomas Verhoeven<\/strong> (23.22) and Jacob Peters<\/strong> following him home.<\/p>\n

He was back in the pool 40 minutes later where he claimed the 50 free crown ahead of Jacob Mills<\/strong> (22.45) with Kenzo Simons<\/strong> making it a Netherlands 1-3 in 22.67.<\/p>\n

Sarah Dumont\u00a0<\/strong>made two trips to the podium on a demanding afternoon. The Belgian\u00a0won the 400 free in 4:16.49 ahead of Phoebe Cooper<\/strong> (4:17.88) and Angelina Rolman<\/strong> (4:17.98).<\/p>\n

She returned for the 800 where Amelie Blocksidge<\/strong> was a clear winner in 8:38.62 to add to her second spot in the 1500. Dumont came home behind the young Briton in 8:47.82 with Alina Baievych<\/strong> third home in 8:49.86.<\/p>\n

Tiago Fonseca Gomes\u00a0<\/strong>repeated that feat, winning the\u00a0400 free in 3:52.52 where\u00a0Johannes Liebmann<\/strong> (3:56.41) and Cristobal Vargas Trujillo<\/strong> (3:57.58) were second and third.<\/p>\n

He came back for the 800 where he was just 0.08 off winner Moritz Erikmann<\/strong> who held on in 8:06.95 despite Fonseca Gomes’ fast finish for 8:07.03. Liebmann was third in 8:10.21.<\/p>\n

Kara Hanlon<\/strong> led an all- British podium in the 100m breaststroke, adding the two-length title to the 200 in 1:07.54. Theodora Taylor<\/strong> (1:09.81) and Jasmine Carter<\/strong> (1:10.52) joined her on the rostrum.<\/p>\n

Max Morgan<\/strong> led home Aquatics GB teammate Filip Nowacki<\/strong> in the men’s race, coming from second at halfway to touch in 1:00.18 to 1:01.31. Koen de Groot<\/strong> of Team NL was third in 1:01.66.<\/p>\n

Milou van Wijk<\/strong> was the only woman inside 25secs in the 50 free where she won in 24.94 ahead of Skye Carter<\/strong> (25.36) and Sam van Nunen<\/strong> (25.50).<\/p>\n

Sandra Maria Balto<\/strong> was the only woman inside 27secs in the 50 fly to win in 26.76 ahead of Britta Koehorst<\/strong> (27.16) and Blythe Kinsman<\/strong> (27.45).<\/p>\n

In the para events in Rotterdam, Anton De Jaeger<\/strong> stopped the clock in 27.02 in the 50m butterfly S9 and at 27.02 in the 50 free S9.<\/p>\n

Berta Colomer Roura<\/strong> headed the women’s 50m freestyle S10 in 31.43,\u00a0Gwyneth van der Spek<\/strong> touched in 1:57.56 in the 100m breaststroke SB6 with Aymeric Parmentier<\/strong> clocking 1:11.71 in the men’s SB14 event.<\/p>\n
