The American Olympian\u2019s best time is 20.37, an NCAA and American record from NCAAs last year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/utsports.com\/news\/2024\/11\/18\/swimming-diving-preview-swim-dive-set-for-annual-tennessee-invitational.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tennessee Invitational Meet Information<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/jordan-crooks-opens-tennessee-invitational-with-130-00-200-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tuesday night finals recap<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Second to Walsh was <strong>Camille Spink<\/strong> of Tennessee in 21.33. That is her best time by four tenths, and moves her into second in program history, trailing only <strong>Erika Brown<\/strong> (now <strong>Erika Connolly<\/strong>). Virginia\u2019s <strong>Anna Moesch<\/strong> was third in 22.02, one of eight 22s in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Crooks followed with a time of 18.29 in the men\u2019s 50 free. He\u2019s tracking his best time of 17.93 from 2023, which stands as second in NCAA history. He\u2019s already made a huge jump at this meet in the 200 free to 1:30.00 off the front of Tuesday night\u2019s 800 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee\u2019s international sprint contingent owned the top five spots in the race. Behind the Caymanian Crooks was Brazilian Olympian <strong>Gui Caribe,<\/strong> who went 18.83. <strong>Nikoli Blackman <\/strong>(Trinidad and Tobago) and <strong>Lamar Taylor<\/strong> (Bahamas) followed by tying for third in 19.15, while <strong>Micah Chambers<\/strong> of UT and Virginia\u2019s <strong>Jack Aikins<\/strong> tied for fifth in 19.37.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the morning session, <strong>Ella Jansen<\/strong> set the pace in the 500 free at 4:40.05. That\u2019s her best career college time, jumping a spot to sixth in program history. <strong>Aimee Canny<\/strong> of UVA was second. Just 1.27 seconds separates the top four, with Tennessee\u2019s <strong>Julia Mrozinski<\/strong> and <strong>Cavan Gormsen<\/strong> of Virginia in the mix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leah Hayes<\/strong> led the way in the 200 IM in 1:54.29, the Virginia swimmer a second up on <strong>Josephine Fuller<\/strong> of UT. The A cut is 1:53.66.<\/p>\n<p>On the men\u2019s side, Kentucky\u2019s <strong>Carson Hick<\/strong> led the way in the 500 free in 4:16.64. Tennessee\u2019s <strong>Joaquin Vargas<\/strong> finished second with one of three 4:18s. <strong>Sebastien Sergile<\/strong> of Virginia edged Tennessee\u2019s <strong>Bjorn Kammann<\/strong> by .04
