It\u2019s the annual championships that the U.S. uses for its national team selections, which will include the delegation for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships that start in July in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Canada will partner to use the same meet as its selection event while offering its swimmers a unique racing opportunity.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/open-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Open Water Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Swimming Canada had previously traveled to Grand Cayman Island to host Open Water Swimming Trials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSwimming Canada extends its heartfelt thanks to our partners with the Cayman Islands Aquatic Sports Association for their support of the open water program over the years,\u201d Swimming Canada Acting CEO <strong>Suzanne Paulins<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimming.ca\/blog\/swimming-canada-to-partner-with-usa-swimming-for-2025-open-water-national-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a press release<\/a>. \u201cWe are grateful to the Cayman Islands for their incredible hospitality in hosting our trials in the past. Their contribution has played a key role in the development of our open water athletes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swimming Canada will still offer its Open Water Swimming Festival after Worlds, on Aug. 16-17 at the Montreal Olympic Basin.<\/p>\n<p>Canada qualified one swimmer, <strong>Emma Finlin<\/strong> on the women\u2019s side, for the marathon swim at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
