Up next,\u00a0<strong>Hayden Miller<\/strong> won the 500 freestyle in 4:49.58, and\u00a0<strong>Aviv Barzelay<\/strong> claimed first in the 200 backstroke (2:00.18). Theall and TCU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Rhodes<\/strong> tied atop the 50 free at 23.43, and Goerigk topped the 200 IM (2:02.35).\u00a0<strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong>, Owens, Theall and Buechler then won the 200 free relay by two seconds in 1:32.52.<\/p>\n<p>Day two got off to a rocky start for the A&amp;M women, with their top squad in the 200 medley relay disqualified, but Miller righted the ship with a comfortable win in the 1000 free (10:02.98), and Stepanek won the 100 backstroke (55.35) and 100 IM (57.70). Theall later claimed first place in the 200 butterfly (1:59.78).<\/p>\n<p>Diving wins went to\u00a0<strong>Else Praasternik<\/strong> on 3-meter (313.30) and platform (245.05), and the team of Stepanek, Theall, Owens and Buechler ended the meet with a dominant performance in the 400 free relay (3:25.59).<\/p>\n<p>BYU got its first win from <strong>Mackenzie Miller<\/strong> in the 200 breaststroke (2:15.73), and <strong>Haylee Tiffany<\/strong> touched in 1:51.57 in the 200 free to lead a 1-2-3 sweep.\u00a0<strong>Sarah Eliason<\/strong> got the win in the 100 fly (55.22) to conclude day one. The next day, BYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Marusakova<\/strong>, Miller, Eliason and\u00a0<strong>Tatum Cooley<\/strong> topped the 200 medley relay in 1:42.65, and Miller won again in the 100 breast (1:03.26). Colley added a first-place result by one hundredth in the 100 free (51.30).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Rhodes&#8217; tie atop the 50 free, TCU&#8217;s only win on the women&#8217;s side came from\u00a0<strong>Anna Kwong<\/strong> in 1-meter diving (301.10).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More college swimming news<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.nextgen.sites\/tamu.sidearmsports.com\/documents\/2024\/10\/19\/byu-tcu-a_m_day_1.pdf?timestamp=20241019034712\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.nextgen.sites\/tamu.sidearmsports.com\/documents\/2024\/10\/19\/results_day_2.pdf?timestamp=20241019073456\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s men began their winning performance as\u00a0<strong>Baylor Nelson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Travis Gulledge<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Chase Swearinger<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Connor Foote<\/strong> used a come-from-behind performance to beat TCU by a half-second in the 400 medley relay. The first individual win came from\u00a0<strong>Tommy Shomper<\/strong> in the 200 back (1:46.64), followed by Foote winning the 50 free (20.26). Foote, Nelson,\u00a0<strong>Collin Fuchs<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Ben Scholl<\/strong> won the 200 free relay in 1:19.20.<\/p>\n<p>Fuchs grabbed the first win of day two for A&amp;M, touching in 44.52 to lead a 1-2 finish with Scholl in the 100 free. Nelson concluded the individual racing slate with a winning time of 49.56 in the 100 IM. <strong>Leonardo Garcia<\/strong> won 3-meter diving for the Aggies (392.10), but teammate\u00a0<strong>Rhett Hensley<\/strong> was victorious on both platform (378.60) and 1-meter (378.75). Foote, Fuchs, Scholl and Nelson clocked 2:56.78 for the win in the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>BYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tanner Nelson<\/strong> recorded an impressive triple on the first day of the meet, winning the 500 free (4:26.81), 200 free (1:38.68) and 200 IM (1:48.33), and <strong>Jordan Tiffany<\/strong> went 47.55 to win the 100 fly. Day two opened with\u00a0<strong>Darwin Anderson<\/strong> winning the 1000 free (9:17.86), and Tiffany got his second first-place result in the 100 back (48.16). Nelson would earn victory No. 4 as he clocked 1:48.79 to crush the field in the 200 fly.<\/p>\n<p>TCU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Geremia Freri<\/strong> touched first in the 200 breast (2:01.91), and his teammates opened day two with a win in the 200 medley relay, with\u00a0<strong>Edgar Cicanci<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jadon Wuilliez<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nigel Forbes<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Luke Dimiceli<\/strong> clocking 1:28.55.
