Stanford Coach Greg Meehan Discusses Excellence of Torri Huske at Paris Games on Social Kick Podcast<\/strong><\/p>\n

During his stint as the head coach of the women’s program at Stanford University, Greg Meehan<\/strong> has enjoyed significant success on the pool deck. Not only has he guided the Cardinal to multiple NCAA team titles, Meehan has sent numerous athletes to the Olympic Games, including the likes of Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel and Maya DiRado. Most recently, Meehan helped Torri Huske excel on the Olympic stage.<\/p>\n

At the Olympic Games in Paris over the summer, Meehan watched Huske edge fellow American Gretchen Walsh to capture the gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly and earn a silver medal in the 100 freestyle. She also grabbed three relay medals, including a gold and world record in the 400-meter medley relay. Obviously, the Huske-Meehan tandem earned the right to celebrate and move toward the 2028 Games in Los Angeles with momentum.<\/p>\n

In the latest episode of the Social Kick Podcast, Meehan discussed the Paris Games with hosts Bryan Lundquist, John Mullen and Luke Paddington. What Huske managed in the French capital accounted for just a portion of an intriguing interview, one that also highlighted the greatness of Katie Ledecky, the current state of college swimming and the supportive environment that is evident at Stanford University, one that Meehan calls “collaborative.”<\/p>\n
