PORTLAND, Oregon, October 14. BILL Volckening, USMS Editor for SWIM Magazine, is scheduled to appear on the cable television Food Network as a special
\nguest on the "Cooking Thin" show.<\/p>\n
In 2002, Volckening (A.K.A. \u201cSwimmer Bill\u201d) lost 70 pounds swimming daily and following along with Cooking Thin and celebrity host Chef Kathleen Daelemans. He has successfully maintained the weight loss during the past year.<\/p>\n
\u201cSwimming is the only exercise I do,\u201d says Volckening. \u201cThe myth that you can\u2019t lose weight by swimming is exactly that \u2013 a myth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Volckening will appear on the \u201cSuccess Stories\u201d special, which is rumored to include some Masters swimming meet footage.<\/p>\n
