Jacob Johnson Sets 200 Fly Record, Minnesota Sets Attendance Record in Wins over Army<\/strong><\/p>\n

Freshman Jacob Johnson<\/strong> reset Minnesota\u2019s program record in the men\u2019s 200 butterfly in his first home dual meet as the Golden Gophers swept Army.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s team scored a 197-103 win over the Black Knights, while the women won by a 238-62 margin. Minnesota drew 1,058 fans to the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center, a program record for a home dual meet.<\/p>\n

Johnson went 1:42.41 to win the 200 fly. He chipped .06 off the mark set at last year\u2019s Big Ten Championships by Kaiser Neverman.<\/strong> Johnson also went 46.58 to win the 100 fly and led off the 400 free relay with a time of 44.81.<\/p>\n
