I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and all the amazing people I\u2019ve met throughout this process. A very special thank you to the coaches at Duke for this incredible opportunity! I can\u2019t wait! #gobluedevils&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>A breaststroker, Bitel does her club swimming with Windermere Lakers. She earned bronze in the 100m breast at Huntsville Futures this past summer. Back in February, she placed 12th in the 100m breast at Southern Zone Seniors. That was after she raced both the 100\/200 breast at Juniors East last December.<\/div>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 breast &#8211; 29.26<\/li>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 1:01.86<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 2:17.92<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Windermere Prep, Bitel earned bronze in the 100 breast at the 2023 Florida 1A State Championships as a sophomore. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2019 with a degree in Public Communication and a double minor in Coaching and Sports Management.
