Sprinter <strong>Livi Wanner<\/strong> was a big part of the women\u2019s victories, while the men triumphed, 241-59.<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minnesota 196, Nebraska 104<\/li>\n<li>Minnesota 251, South Dakota 49<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Men\u2019s<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minnesota 241, South Dakota 59<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wanner was on both winning Minnesota relays, the 200 medley and 400 freestyle, joined by <strong>Mina Kaljevic<\/strong> on both. Wanner went 23.11 to win the 50 free, edging teammate <strong>Morgan Thomas.<\/strong> Her time of 50.79 was in a 1-2 with Kaljevic. Kaljevic won the 200 free, with sister <strong>Anja Kaljevic<\/strong> third.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gophersports.com\/documents\/2024\/10\/5\/Minnesota-Nebraska-SD.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Claire Reinke<\/strong> won all three of her events. She swept the butterfly races, then got to the wall first in the 200 individual medley by less than four tenths over Nebraska\u2019s <strong>Marissa Laurin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Faith Johnson<\/strong> led a 1-2-3 result in the 100 back for the Golden Gophers. <strong>Elna Widerstrom<\/strong> won 3-meter and was second to teammate <strong>Vivi Del Angel<\/strong> on 1-meter.<\/p>\n<p>Nebraska had plenty of wins, just not the depth. South Dakota native <strong>Gwen Jorgenson<\/strong> dominated in the distance events, winning the 1,000 free, 200 back and 500 free. The 200 back was a 1-2 result with Laurin. <strong>Maia Hall<\/strong> won both breaststroke events \u2013 the 100 was a 1-2 with <strong>JoJo Randby<\/strong> \u2013 and finished third in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>On the men\u2019s side, freshmen accounted for four victories in their collegiate debuts. <strong>Jacob Johnson<\/strong> led the way, winning the 200 fly and 100 free and swimming a leg on the victorious 400 free relay. <strong>Luke Brennan<\/strong> claimed the 1,000 freestyle, and <strong>Joe Polyak<\/strong> posted three top-three finishes, led by a win in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n<p>The veterans had their say, too. <strong>Kaiser Neverman<\/strong> led the way, the graduate student winning the 100 breast and 500 free. <strong>YuTong Wang<\/strong> won both diving events.<\/p>\n<p>Ian Steffen claimed the 100 back and 100 fly. <strong>Tyler Hansen<\/strong> (200 free), <strong>Luke Leonidas<\/strong> (200 back) and <strong>Ryan Slonac<\/strong> (200 IM) added victories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nick Rounds<\/strong> went 20.98 in the men\u2019s 50 free to pick up the Coyotes\u2019 lone win. <strong>Alex Parkinson<\/strong> was the runner-up in the 1,000
