Last week, news broke that Canadian Maggie Mac Neil, an Olympic champion at the 2020 Tokyo Games, has opted for retirement. Mac Neil was a star for Canada, excelling as a world champion in the 100-meter butterfly, the event that also made her an Olympic gold medalist.<\/p>\n<p>In this Week in Review, Swimming World&#8217;s Casey McNulty looks at Mac Neil&#8217;s career, along with two other stories from the past week. One newsworthy piece covered by Swimming World is the fact that Leon Marchand and Kaylee McKeown, two stars of the Paris Games, will be suiting up for the fast-approaching World Cup series in Asia.
