James Magnussen Discusses Participation in Controversial Enhanced Games on Social Kick Podcast<\/strong><\/p>\n

At one time, James Magnussen<\/strong> was the premier 100-meter freestyle in the world. The Australian was the world champion in the event at the 2011 and 2013 editions of the World Championships, with a silver medal claimed in between at the 2012 Olympic Games in Athens. His personal best of 47.10 is a time that remains medal-contending in international competition.<\/p>\n

These days, however, Magnussen is making noise for his planned participation in the Enhanced Games, a competition that has no restrictions on performance-enhancing substances. Organizers of the Enhanced Games have declared an interest in seeing what humans can do \u2013 rules be damned.<\/p>\n

Magnussen is planning to chase the world record in the 50-meter freestyle at the Enhanced Games, that standard belonging to Brazil\u2019s Cesar Cielo at 20.91 from the 2009 season. Magnussen recently sat down with the hosts of the Social Kick Podcast<\/strong> to discuss his pursuit and review some of the specifics of the controversial competition.
