Penn State Hires Loren Smith as Head Diving Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Loren Smith<\/strong> has been hired as the head diving coach at Penn State, the university announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

Smith, who also goes by the nickname Buck, has spent the last 24 seasons at Eastern Michigan University. He heads south to join the staff of new head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI have known Buck for decades and have seen the kind of coaching he has done to produce the best results from his divers,\u201d Bonewit-Cron said in a university statement<\/a>. \u201cI am beyond excited to see his experience and drive each and every day on deck and I am very eager to witness the success he will create with our diving student-athletes and our entire diving program at B1G\u2019s, NCAA\u2019s, and beyond!\u201d<\/p>\n
