His 200 fly time is currently the best time in the class.<\/p>\n<p>Marsteiner&#8217;s older brother,\u00a0<strong>Matt Marsteiner<\/strong>, is currently a freshman on the Wolfpack&#8217;s roster. The two will overlap for two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m proud to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at NC State. I\u2019d like to thank the NC State coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. I also want to thank Matt, my parents, my teammates, and coaches for supporting me throughout my swimming journey. GO PACK!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>An Olympic Trials qualifier, Marsteiner does his club swimming with New Wave Swim Team. He raced the 200m fly at Olympic Trials back in June. He capped off the short course season by taking fourth in the 200m fly at NCSA Spring Championships; He took fifth in that event at Juniors East last December.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 fly \u2013 1:45.29<\/li>\n<li>100 fly \u2013 49.26<\/li>\n<li>1650 free \u2013 15:16.91<\/li>\n<li>500 free \u2013 4:22.68<\/li>\n<li>200 free \u2013 1:38.98<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Marsteiner is currently a junior at Crossroads Flex High School.<\/p>\n<p>NC State won its third straight ACC title in 2024.
