Three-time Olympic Champion Adam Peaty Announces Engagement To Holly Ramsay<\/h4>\n
Three-time Olympic champion Adam Peaty<\/strong> has announced his engagement to partner Holly Ramsay.<\/strong><\/p>\n
The double world record-holder has often credited Ramsay – the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay – with having a stabilising effect and of giving him peace and calm following a turbulent period in his life that led him to consider quitting \u201ca thousand times\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n
Ramsay was poolside at La Defense Arena in Paris as Peaty won silver behind Nicolo Martinenghi<\/strong><\/a> en-route to claiming his third straight Olympic medal in the 100m breaststroke and his sixth overall.<\/p>\n
Peaty said on social media:<\/p>\n
“I can\u2019t believe you\u2019re going to be my wife. I\u2019m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace.<\/p>\n
“You have been with me when I\u2019ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness. You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I\u2019m happy with the man I\u2019ve become. You came to church with me and joined the incredible community we have there without a question.<\/p>\n
“Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can\u2019t wait to be joined with them too.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019ve always believed that when two people are engaged and later married that we are no longer two people but we join as one and it\u2019s the biggest privilege to share that with you.<\/p>\n
“Seeing you show the love you give to the most important person in my life, George, even from day one, there was never a question about you becoming my wife one day. I\u2019m looking forward to our life together and the many challenges we\u2019ll face.<\/p>\n
“I promise to always love you with all my heart.<\/p>\n
