She swam at the University of Tennessee and professionally in the International Swimming League.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so excited to have been given the opportunity to work with SCAD swimming this season!,\u201d Hannis said <a href=\"https:\/\/savannah.scadathletics.com\/news\/2024\/9\/3\/general-scad-announces-molly-hannis-as-assistant-swim-coach.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a university statement<\/a>. \u201cI love the direction and vision the administration and staff have for this team, and I\u2019m very much looking forward to working with this talented group of artist-athletes and seeing what we can achieve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hannis was an SEC champion and two-time NCAA champion at Tennessee, where she received her bachelor\u2019s degree in sport management in 2015. She was a volunteer assistant for the Volunteers after graduation. Her other coaching roles have included as a clinician on the Fitter and Faster Tour and as an assistant coach at Georgia Coastal Aquatics.<\/p>\n<p>She joins the coaching staff of <strong>Rob Zamorano<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/rob-zamorano-hired-to-lead-scad-swimming-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hired in August to lead the NAIA powerhouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m incredibly excited to welcome Molly to the staff, her experiences will be invaluable to the goals of the program,\u201d Zamorano said. \u201cHer eagerness to learn and excitement for the sport make her someone I trust greatly with the goals of the team, department, and school.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Olympian Molly Hannis Joins Coaching Staff at SCAD Savannah College of Art and Design has hired Olympian Molly Hannis as an assistant coach, the school announced Tuesday.
