Lady Vols Add Alyssa Claborn To Loaded Class of 2029<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Tennessee has continued to put together a loaded recruiting class, and its latest commitment is no exception: U.S. Open qualifier Alyssa Claborn <\/strong>of Mooresville, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

She will join Mizuki Hirai<\/a>,<\/strong> Nicole Zettel<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Mere Whelehan<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Avery Luedke\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Lilly Robertson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Lady Vols\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at The University of Tennessee!! A big thank you to my family, friends, teammates, and especially my coaches for all of their support throughout this process. I am so grateful for the coaches at Tennessee for giving me this opportunity. I can\u2019t wait to be on Rocky Top and be a Lady Vol with such an amazing family!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Claborn does her club swimming with Lowe\u2019s YMCA Lightning Swim Team and most recently competed at YMCA Long Course Nationals where she placed second in the 100m back, fourth in the 50m back, seventh in the 50m fly and 14th in the 200m back. She collected bronze in the 100 back at YMCA Short Course Nationals back in the spring and took 19th in that event at Juniors East last December.<\/p>\n
