Sprinter Olivia Matson Selects Auburn For 2025-26<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Powell, Ohio native\u00a0Olivia Matson\u00a0<\/strong>will head south for her college career, as the Junior National qualifier announced her verbal commitment to Auburn University beginning in Fall 2025.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Nora Weber<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Lilly Gault Abdella<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Abigail Heizer<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Tigers\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Auburn University!! I want to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for supporting me throughout this process. I would also like to thank the staff at Auburn for giving me this amazing opportunity!!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A sprint freestyler, Matson trains year-round with Dublin Community Swim Team and won the 50m free this past summer at Ohio Long Course Senior Championships. That was after she won the B-final of that event at Columbus Sectionals. She also raced the 50\/100 free at Juniors East last December.<\/p>\n
