Matt Kredich Gets Contract Extension, Raise from Tennessee<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Tennessee on Monday announced a contract extension through 2029 for head swimming and diving coach Matt Kredich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The deal, per the Knoxville News Sentinel<\/em>, includes a raise<\/a> of $10,000 in his base salary. The contract extension runs through April 2029.<\/p>\n

Kredich just finished his 19th year in Knoxville and his 12th in charge of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s programs. The teams both finished in the top 10 at NCAAs \u2013 sixth for the men and fourth for the women \u2013 in the same season for the first time in program history. Fourth was the best result in program history for the women, while the men\u2019s placement was its highest since 2001. The Vols netted five silver medals and three bronze medals at the NCAA Championships and eight SEC championships.<\/p>\n
