Open Water Swimmers Bettina Fabian, Leonie Beck Recovering after Olympic Marathon<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swimmers Bettina Fabian<\/strong> of Hungary and Leonie Beck<\/strong> of Germany posted to social media about ill effects from the Olympic marathon swim in Paris\u2019 River Seine.<\/p>\n

Beck posted to her Instagram stories that she had \u201cvomited 9 times yesterday + diarrhea\u201d after taking part in Thursday\u2019s 10-kilometer swim at the Olympics. In an update Sunday morning, she thanked followers for their well wishes and said she was \u201cfeeling already way better.\u201d<\/p>\n

The German swimming federation reported that both Beck and Leonie Martens<\/strong> were suffering symptoms<\/a>, as well as an unnamed male swimmer.<\/p>\n

Fabian posted a photo of herself getting intravenous fluids, her bib number of \u201c23\u201d still visible on the back of her left hand. She posted the caption, \u201cShow or athlete\u2019s safety\u2026?\u201d<\/p>\n
