Adam Peaty to Anti-Doping Authorities: \u2018Wake Up and Do Your Job\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adam Peaty<\/strong> had an eventful week at the Paris Olympics. A tie for silver in the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke, then a week convalescing<\/a> with COVID-19 and an ear infection, then a fourth-place finish in the men\u2019s medley relay didn\u2019t leave much time for Peaty to weigh in on other matters.<\/p>\n

But with his meet done Sunday night in Paris \u2013 and Great Britain fourth in the medley behind a Chinese gold medal \u2013 Peaty unloaded on the World Anti-Doping Agency\u2019s handling of Chinese doping tests.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think one of my favorite quotes I\u2019ve seen lately is, there\u2019s no point winning if you don\u2019t win it fair,\u201d Peaty said. \u201cI think you know that in your heart. Even if you touch and you know you\u2019re cheating, you know you\u2019re not winning, right? So for me, if you\u2019ve been on that and you have been contaminated twice, I think as an honorable person, you should be out of the sport. But we know sport isn\u2019t that simple.\u201d<\/p>\n
