Adrian Weinberg<\/strong> backstopped a stellar defense with 13 saves, and Hannes Daube<\/strong> scored five goals as the United States downed Montenegro, 12-7, Saturday to earn a spot in the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics.<\/p>\n

The U.S. led 7-2 at half and never looked back, holding Montenegro to 7-for-32 shooting (22 percent) and 0-for-9 on the power play.<\/p>\n

The win evens the U.S.\u2019s record at 2-2 head into its final group stage game on Monday against Croatia. The U.S. can finish no worse than fourth in its group, guaranteeing a place in the final eight.<\/p>\n
