TODAY, the NCAA released time standards for the 2015 NCAA Division I Championships that will take place during back-to-back weeks in North Carolina and Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s meet is slated for March 19-21 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, while the men&#8217;s meet will take place March 26-28 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, Ia., <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncaa.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2015%20Division%20I%20Swimming%20and%20Diving%20Qualifying%20Standard.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">NCAA Division I Time Standards<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All of the &#8220;A&#8221; qualifying times are faster for the 2015 championships, with some dropping more than a second. Others were lowered by a few hundredths. None of the &#8220;B&#8221; standards changed.<\/p>\n<p>The largest drop in the automatic qualifying time came in the women&#8217;s 1650 freestyle. The cut dropped 2.23 seconds from 15:58.41 to 15:56.18. Only 10 women made the &#8220;A&#8221; cut in the mile last season, and only one less swimmer would have beaten the new qualifying time.<\/p>\n<p>Only one other individual event qualifying time dropped more than a second &#8212; the men&#8217;s 400 IM, from 3:43.48 to 3:42.40.
