GREENSBORO, North Carolina, July 20. BRAD Craig and Molly Hannis swept the breaststroke events, while Faith Johnson and Hannah Moore also picked up wins during the last night of racing at the Speedo Champions Series sectional meet in Greensboro. Moore came away with four victories, the most of any swimmer at the meet.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Aquatics\u2019 Faith Johnson, who already won the 50 free earlier in the meet, made it a clean sweep of the sprint free events with a win in the women\u2019s 100 free tonight. Johnson touched in 55.73 in the opening event to knock off North Carolina Aquatic Club\u2019s Lauren Earp (56.91) and Greensboro Swimming Association\u2019s Natalie Labonge (57.15). Wolfpack Elite\u2019s David Williams equaled that feat in the men\u2019s final, adding a win in the 100 free to his win in the 50 on day one. Williams hit the wall in 50.11, ahead of teammate Soeren Dahl (50.46) and Tennessee Aquatics\u2019 Kyler VanSwol (51.03).<\/p>\n

Kentucky\u2019s Kendal Casey scored a huge win in the women\u2019s 1500 free as she finished more than 13 seconds out front. Casey completed the race in 17:05.20, well ahead of Marlins of Raleigh\u2019s Sarah Giamber (17:18.56) and Kentucky\u2019s Kelly Berger (17:21.49).<\/p>\n

After posting the fastest time by an American in 2014 in the 100 breast last night, Tennessee Aquatics\u2019 Brad Craig swept the breaststroke events with a 2:16.14 in the 200 tonight. While that\u2019s not the fastest time in the US this year, it was still comfortably ahead of Cardinal Aquatics teammates Todd Owen (2:17.01) and Kameron Chastain (2:19.42). Craig\u2019s teammate at Tennessee Aquatics, Molly Hannis, also swept the breaststroke events after posting a final time of 2:31.29 in the 200 tonight. Abigail Fisher of North Carolina Aquatic Club came in second at 2:33.10, while Kayla Brumbaum of Wolfpack Elite rounded out the top three in 2:34.30.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 1500 free title went to SwimMAC Carolina\u2019s Austin Snyder in 15:52.56, as Snyder dropped a whopping 24 seconds from his seed time of 16:16.90. Kentucky\u2019s Brandon Flynn, winner of the 800 free on night one, finished second in a personal best of 15:56.48, while Tennessee Aquatics\u2019 Trevor Leland rounded out the top three in 16:12.53.<\/p>\n

Triple event-winner Hannah Moore of YMCA of the Triangle Area earned her fourth win of the weekend in convincing fashion, out-racing the field of the women\u2019s 200 back by four seconds with a 2:10.18. Victoria Mitchell from Marlins of Raleigh finished second in 2:14.18, while Kentucky\u2019s Bridgette Alexander rounded out the top three in 2:15.69. Denver Swim Academy\u2019s Hennessey Stuart, who\u2019s headed to NC State for college next month, dominated the men\u2019s 200 back final. After posting a 1:59.95 in prelims, Stuart finished slightly off that time in finals with a 2:01.14, but still finished three seconds in front of Kentucky\u2019s Joshua York (2:04.03). Nolan Tesone of Cardinal Aquatics came in third in 2:04.95.<\/p>\n

Lakeside took home the final women\u2019s title up for grabs as Sydney Sell, Peyton Greenberg, Asia Seidt and Brooke Bauer completed the 400 medley relay in 4:20.15. SwimMAC Carolina\u2019s Alexis Souther, Cape Murch Elliot, Elsa Welshofer and Lauren McRae came in second in 4:22.00, while Ashley LeClair, Brooke Forde, Julia Roy and Cameron Brown of the Lakeside B team finished third in 4:26.14. Lakeside also claimed the men\u2019s relay win as Jake Precious, Connor Lohman, Jacob Smith and Noah Johnston swam a 3:56.28 to top Duke Aquatics\u2019 Connor Williams, Garrett House, Koya Osada and Jeremiah O\u2019Donnell (3:57.38). Tosh Kawaguchi, Conor Hale, Will Close and Justin Ress gave Marlins of Raleigh a third place swim with their 3:58.93.<\/p>\n
