OXFORD, Ohio, July 19. AT the Ohio Long Course Junior Olympics, the Ohio State Swim Club produced a pair of National Age Group relay records. The squad downed the 10-and-under National Age Group record in the girls 200-meter free relay, and the 11-12 400-meter medley relay before having the 400-meter medley swim be disqualified.<\/p>\n
The foursome of Riley Huddleston (30.72), Ava Lachey (30.40), Martina Peroni (31.97) and Hannah Routh (30.86) raced its way to a time of 2:03.95 to win the girls 10-and-under 200-meter freestyle relay finale. The team was far and away the best squad in the event in Oxford today as the Northern Kentucky Clippers wound up taking second in the event with a 2:15.06.<\/p>\n
That swim lowered the 2011 record of 2:05.70 set by Greater Toledo’s Kelly Metzger, Brea Fields, Katie Kreger and Catherine Kight.<\/p>\n
Later in the evening, the quartet of Kate Saczawa (1:08.26), Logan Lawhorn (1:20.11), Jordan Aurnou-Rhees (1:07.28) and Mia Lachey (1:01.11) clocked what looked like a 4:36.76 to win the 11-12 400-meter medley relay before having the time disqualified.<\/p>\n
