OLYMPIC gold medalist Tae Hwan Park continues to impress here at the South Korean Nationals in Gimcheon.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t the speed he used to rank ninth in the world with a 48.42 at the NSW State Championships, but Park had plenty in the tank as he set a meet record in the men&#8217;s 100-meter free with a 48.68. Gim Seong Yeon finished second in 50.74 with Bak Seong Wan earning third in 50.97.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s Park&#8217;s fourth gold medal of the meet. He already topped the world in the 200 free with a 1:45.25, and set the Korean record in the 200 IM with a 2:00.31. He also clocked a 3:44.75 to capture the 400 freestyle yesterday as he continues to put up an impressive set of performances here in Gimcheon.<\/p>\n<p>Anse Hye On had a special swim in the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly with a 2:08.67. That time jumped her into 17th in the world rankings. That&#8217;s one of the fastest non-Tae Hwan Park swims of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>In other action, Jang Gyu Cheol took home the meet record in the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly with a 1:59.67. Bak Seong Wan sprinted to a meet record in the men&#8217;s 50-meter back with a 25.46, while Yiju Hye Ong touched out Kim Ji Hyun, 29.13 to 29.18, for the women&#8217;s 50-meter back meet mark as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GIMCHEON, South Korea, July 19.
