THE athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games are starting to arrive in the Scottish capital of Glasgow to adjust to the time zone, acclimate to the weather and acquaint themselves to the Tollcross Swimming Centre.<\/p>\n<p>As is the case with most major international competitions, they\u2019ll also familiarize themselves with the timelines for each of the six days of swimming competition to know how to prepare for each day\u2019s racing. Some swimmers will race more than once per session with less than an hour between each swim. Warming down, getting a light massage and mentally refocusing are just three keys to getting ready for the next race.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the tentative times for each swimming event at the Commonwealth Games. The best swimmers know that timelines are only estimates. Even the most well-run meet falls behind schedule (but rarely ahead of schedule), and will be ready for all outcomes.
