Sprinter Max Goettsch Chooses Texas For College Career<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Texas has secured a new verbal commitment for its growing Class of 2029 from sprint freestyler and U.S. Open qualifier Max Goettsch\u00a0<\/strong>of Naperville, Illinois.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0John Simmons<\/strong><\/a>, Clem Camacho<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Evan Conti<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Austin as a member of the Longhorns\u2019 Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Texas! I want to thank my family, Coach Mike, Coach Dave, the @fmcaquatic coaching staff and my teammates. I would also like to thank Coach Eddie Reese and Coach @wyatt.collins for this amazing opportunity!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Goettsch does his club swimming with FMC Aquatic Club and most recently earned three best times at Westmont Sectionals. During the short course season, he placed sixth in the 200m free at NCSA Spring Championships and won the 200 free at Illinois Senior Championships.<\/p>\n
