They represent 187 official countries, plus four Individual Neutral Athletes and the members of the IOC Refugee National Team. Five countries \u2013 Dominica, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Vanuatu \u2013 will make their Olympic debut at Paris La Defense Arena.<\/p>\n<p>The full list of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldaquatics.com\/competitions\/2943\/olympic-games-paris-2024\/athletes?gender=M&amp;discipline=SW&amp;countryId=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">men\u2019s competitors is here<\/a>, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldaquatics.com\/competitions\/2943\/olympic-games-paris-2024\/athletes?gender=F&amp;discipline=SW&amp;countryId=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">women\u2019s list can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four athletes will be under the flag of the AIN or individual neutral athletes. Three are athletes from Belarus, <strong>Alina Zmushka, Anastasiya Shkurdai<\/strong> and <strong>Ilya Shymanovich.<\/strong> The only Russian to compete at the Games will by <strong>Evgenii Somov,<\/strong> who trains in the United States with Louisville.<\/p>\n<p>The entry lists confirm that absence of, among others, reigning 400 freestyle champion <strong>Ahmed Hafnaoui<\/strong> of Tunisia. It confirms the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/veterans-farida-osman-quah-ting-wen-late-exclusions-from-olympics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously reported absences<\/a> of <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> of Egypt, <strong>Quah Ting Wen<\/strong> of Singapore <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/south-africas-lara-van-niekerk-to-miss-olympics-due-to-administrative-error\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">and South Africa\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Lara van Niekerk.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The entry lists also reveal a swap in nationalities for <strong>Kaii Winkler <\/strong>to represent Germany<strong>.<\/strong> The American teen has been training in Madgeburg with other members of the German team. His father, Dirk, holds German citizenship, and the German Olympic Sports Confederation has approved his switch, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsv.de\/schwimmen\/aktuelles-schwimmen\/lesen\/?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=7477&amp;cHash=3b510f9a9acd6b72e438c0882d63f4a5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the German Swimming Federation confirmed<\/a>. Winkler competed at German Championships in 2019 and 2022. In 2022, the Florida native and NC State commit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/news\/2022\/08\/27\/u.s.-captures-world-junior-record-in-4x100-free-relay-at-junior-pan-pacs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anchored an American relay<\/a> at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships that set a World Junior Record.<\/p>\n<p>Winkler brings with him an Olympic A cut in the 100 butterfly, having gone 51.51 at U.S. Olympic Trials last month to finish eighth in the event. Germany did not have a swimmer with an A cut in the event \u2013 <strong>Luca Armbruster<\/strong> went 51.68 at German Championships this year, .01 off the A cut \u2013 which allowed Winkler a chance to swim.<\/p>\n<p>Winkler finished 46th in the 200 free, 25th in the 100 free and 38th in the 50 free at Olympic Trials.
