Kate Simon, Michigan State Champion, Announces Verbal To Notre Dame<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Notre Dame has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from\u00a0Kate Simon\u00a0<\/strong>of East Grand Rapids, Michigan.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Ellie Butler<\/strong><\/a>, Maddie Faikish<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Tess Heavner<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in South Bend next fall.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very excited to announce my commitment to the University of Notre Dame!! I\u2019m so grateful for the opportunity to swim for the Irish and want to thank everyone who has been a part of helping me achieve my lifelong dream! #GoIrish”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Simon does her club swimming with East Grand Rapids Aquatics Team and raced three events at Juniors East back in December. In March, she won three events at the Michigan Open Short Course Championships where she earned four best times.<\/p>\n
