FEDERAL WAY, Washington, July 12. KING Aquatics’ Ethan Dang, who had a run of records in the 10-and-under division, took down the 11-12 U.S. National Age Group mark tonight in the 200-meter breast at the Mark Porhtero Invitational.<\/p>\n
Dang cranked out a 2:29.01, beating Sean Mahoney’s 2001 mark of 2:30.12 by more than a second. Dang split the race 33.89, 38.11, 38.73 and 38.28 en route to nearly clearing 2:29 altogether. Previously, he set the 10-and-under 100-meter breast mark with a 1:18.71 in 2012. He also owns the 100-yard breast 10-and-under record with a 1:07.25.<\/p>\n
Dang has been busy this weekend at the meet. The 12-year-old posted a 19:15.23 in the 1500-meter free, a 2:24.66 in the 200-meter IM, a 29.13 in the 50-meter fly, a 59.30 in the 100-meter free and a 1:09.28 in the 100-meter back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
