Rafael Fente Damers <\/strong>dislocated his shoulder\u00a0after celebrating his qualification for Paris 2024 at the French trials in Chartres.<\/p>\n The 17-year-old came second behind Maxime Grousset<\/strong> in the 100 free in an age group record of 48.14 and punched the water in delight.<\/p>\n However, immediately following his celebrations, Fente Damers clutched his left shoulder and appeared in pain.<\/p>\n He was later pictured on the podium with his arm in a sling with the French Federation confirming he had indeed dislocated his shoulder although the prognosis was good.<\/p>\n Grousset won the race in a PB of 47.33 with Florent Manaudou<\/strong> not appearing in the final after delivering a 47.90 lifetime best in prelims.<\/p>\n Reuters reported Grousset as saying:\u00a0\u201cI hope it goes well for him because we\u2019re waiting for him for the relay.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a bit crazy, that\u2019s why he\u2019s good. He\u2019s not afraid of anything and I think he\u2019s going to progress.\u201d<\/p>\n
