Olympic Champion Pernille Blume Joins World Aquatics Bureau<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pernille Blume<\/strong>, the Olympic champion in the women\u2019s 50 freestyle at the 2016 Olympics, was appointed to the World Aquatics Bureau on Monday.<\/p>\n

Blume, 30, retired in 2022<\/a>. She reached the pinnacle of her career in winning the 50 free in Rio in 2016<\/a> for Denmark, then remained on the global stage for most of the next half-decade. She is a three-time Olympian who now works in the health and wellness field, as the creator of the Align by Blume online platform.<\/p>\n

Blume announced her appointment on social media.<\/p>\n
