National Junior Team Josh Bey Chooses Indiana\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Indiana University has picked up a huge verbal commitment for Fall 2025 from Olympic Trials qualifier Josh Bey of Hinsdale, Illinois, who is the best breaststroker in his class.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will join <\/span>Noah Cakir <\/b><\/a>and<\/span> Luke Ellis<\/b><\/a> in Bloomington as a member of the Hoosiers\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am blessed to announce my verbal commitment to further my athletic and academic career with Indiana University. I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping support me through this decision and getting me to where I am today. Go Hoosiers!!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Bey trains year-round with <\/span>Highland Hurricanes Swim Club and earned gold in the 100m breast and 200m breast at the NCSA Spring Championships. He also finaled in the 200m breast at the U.S. Open back in the fall and took 13th in that event at Phillips 66 Nationals last summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

While representing Team USA, Bey competed at the 9th FINA World Junior Championships in September 2023. There, he placed sixth in the 200m breast.<\/span><\/p>\n

His best times include:<\/span><\/p>\n
