The first event featured is the men&#8217;s 200 individual medley, where several athletes are positioned to make a run at invitations to the Paris Games.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Carson Foster was the silver medalist in the 200 IM at the World Championships in Doha, finishing behind Canadian Finlay Knox. Last summer, Foster was fifth in the event at the World Champs, while Team USA teammate Shaine Casas was the fourth-place finisher and just off the podium.\u00a0Veteran Chase Kalisz is another leading contender, ranking 10th in the world heading into Trials.<\/p>\n<p>Whoever represents the United States will have the task of facing France&#8217;s Leon Marchand, the reigning world champion in the event, and China&#8217;s Wang Shun, the reigning Olympic champion.<\/p>\n<p>So, who are your two American picks to qualify for Paris in the men&#8217;s 200 IM?
