Georgia Tech Gains Verbal From TAC Titans\u2019 Abhay Tharakan\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT: Georgia Tech has secured a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from U.S. Open qualifier Abhay Tharakan of Apex, North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will join<\/span> Tuncer Berk Ert\u00fcrk<\/b><\/a> and<\/span> Tobin Uhl<\/b><\/a> as a member of the Yellow Jackets\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to Georgia Tech!! I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teammates for all their support. I\u2019d also like to thank the Georgia Tech coaching staff and swim team for giving me this opportunity. I\u2019m thrilled to spend my four years of university at Georgia Tech. STING EM\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A versatile swimmer, Tharakan does his club swimming with TAC Titans and finished third in the 100 back at North Carolina Seniors in February where he also placed 11th in the 100 fly and 12th in the 100 breast. He raced to 18th in the 200m back and 20th in the 100m back at Ocala Futures last summer.<\/span><\/p>\n
