Florida State Champion Maeve Eckerman Lends Verbal to Georgia<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Georgia has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from U.S. Open qualifier Maeve Eckerman\u00a0<\/strong>of Venice, Florida.<\/p>\n

Her older brother,\u00a0Max Eckerman<\/strong>, is a rising sophomore at LSU.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Kennedi Dobson <\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Hailey Dopson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Athens as a member of the Bulldogs\u2019 Class of 2029.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia!! I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teammates for supporting me along the way. I\u2019m so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me! Go dawgs!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Eckerman does her club swimming with Sarasota Sharks and finished second in the 200 fly and third in the 200 IM at Florida Spring Senior Championships after winning the B-finals of the 100 free and 200 back at Southern Zone Seniors. She took 14th in the 200 back at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n
