Luke Waldrep Follows Sister’s Footsteps, Commits to Auburn<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Auburn University has added a new verbal commitment for Fall 2025 from Olympic Trials qualifier Luke Waldrep\u00a0<\/strong>of Chattanooga, Tennessee. His older sister,\u00a0Ellie Waldrep<\/strong>, a three-time NCAA qualifier for the Tigers who is graduating this spring.<\/p>\n

He will join Brody Singley<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2029.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m beyond excited and honored to announce my commitment to Auburn University to further my academic and athletic career. I\u2019d like to thank my family and friends for all of their support throughout this process. War Eagle”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Waldrep trains year-round with Baylor Swim Club and finished 16th in the 500 free and 18th in the mile at Juniors East back in December before going on to take 14th in the 400m IM at January’s TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville. Last summer, he won the 400m IM at Southeastern LCM Championships where he also placed second in the 200m IM.<\/p>\n
