It has been some meet for Lukas M\u00e4rtens<\/strong> who rattled the 400 free WR in 3:40.33 before firing off a 1:44.14 PB in the 200 free to go top of the 2024 rankings as well as third over 100.<\/p>\nOn Sunday, he returned to the Berlin pool for the 200 back where he split 55.89\/60.11 to go within 0.13 of Jan-Philip Glania’s<\/strong> national record of 1:55.87 that has stood since the 2012 German Championships<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIt was another PB for M\u00e4rtens, surpassing the 1:56.18 that had seen him already inside the 1:57.50 QT coming into the trials.<\/p>\n
Christian Diener<\/strong> went 1:58.22 ahead of Cornelius Jahn<\/strong> who was third home in 1:58.58.<\/p>\nMaya Werner<\/strong> won the women’s race in 2:11.54 with Lise Seidel<\/strong> following her home in 2:13.56.<\/p>\nIsabel Gose<\/strong> claimed her fourth title in as many races with victory in the 800 by more than eight seconds in 8:19.48, the third-swiftest time of her career topped by the 8:17.53 PB en-route to silver at the Doha worlds behind Simona Quadarella<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIt saw Gose sweep the 200\/400\/800\/1500 free quadruple with the possibility of a busy schedule in Paris on the horizon.<\/p>\n
Moesha Johnson<\/strong> (8:27.56) and Leonie M\u00e4rtens<\/strong> (8:33.40) completed the podium.<\/p>\nArtem Selin<\/strong> booked himself a spot in the 50 free in 21.90 – 0.06 inside the cut.<\/p>\nIt was 0.07 outside the 21.83 PB that secured him the 2019 European junior title and a further 0.02 off Damian Wierling’s <\/strong>German record of 21.81 that has stood for eight years since the 2016 national championships.<\/p>\nJosha Salchow<\/strong> – who has a Paris berth in the 100 free – was second in 22.06 with Moritz Schaller<\/strong> third on 22.38.<\/p>\n![\"Isabel](\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/20230723_Swimming_STA5610-700x500.jpg\")

Nina Jazy<\/strong> set an age group record of 24.91 to take the women’s title with Jessica Felsner<\/strong> taking second 0.02 ahead of Nele Schulze<\/strong> in 25.12 to 25.14.<\/p>\n\n
