GARY Hall, Jr., American record-holder in the 50 meter freestyle and eight-time Olympic medalist, realized a longtime personal dream today with his announcement of the formation of an international sprint team.<\/p>\n<p>Located in Islamorada in the Florida Keys, the team is called the Race Club.  The team is designed to bring together &quot;talented male and female swimmers from around the world that have a shot at representing their country at the Olympics,&quot; Hall told <b>SwimInfo<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We are looking to establish a core team of six sprinters in addition to myself,&quot; Hall said. &quot;The team will have their housing and travel expenses to key meets paid for by The Race Club.  Olympians from around the world will also join us to train for varied amounts of time.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Olsen, Olympic gold medalist in 1992 and 1996, will coach the group. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;We will have unlimited access to the Islamorada swim facility consisting of a $7 million, 50 meter pool located right on the ocean. The team will have free access to weight training, yoga\/pilates, core training, and massage therapy,&quot; Hall said. <\/p>\n<p>Male and female applicants must have a true shot at qualifying for the Olympics for their country. <\/p>\n<p>Minimum qualifying times:<br \/>\nMen:<br \/>\nLong course 50 meters = 23.99.  LC 100 meters = 52.99.<\/p>\n<p>Women: Long Course: 50 meters = 26.99.  LC 100 meters = 57.99.<\/p>\n<p>Qualified swimmers interested in participating in this program should send their applications to: <a href=mailto:theraceclub@garyhalljr.com>theraceclub@garyhalljr.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>They are asked to include their:<br \/>\nAccomplishments<br \/>\nMeets<br \/>\nResume<br \/>\nTimes<br \/>\nFriends in swimming<br \/>\nPress and other media<br \/>\nReason for wanting to join &#8211; besides Islamorada being one of the most beautiful places in the world<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Please feel free to provide any other information that will be valuable in choosing you for our team,&quot; Hall asked.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I have already begun my training and I would like my new training partners to begin as soon as possible!  Availability is very limited to six swimmers, so early apologies to those that don&#39;t make it.
