Why not release this information at the time, who really benefits from the lack of transparency and secrecy?<\/p>\n<p>2. What happened to strict liability? WADA agreed with the Chinese Anti-Doping Agency&#8217;s finding of widespread contamination as the cause. In a statement Saturday, WADA said it underwent a review process &#8220;which spanned several weeks&#8221; of the entire case file from CHINADA and said it was, &#8220;not in a position to disprove the possibility that contamination was the source of TMZ and it was compatible with the analytical data in the file.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/column-lack-of-transparency-in-chinese-doping-tests-a-glaring-failure-of-anti-doping-authorities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Column: Lack of Transparency in Chinese Doping Tests a Glaring Failure of Anti-Doping Authorities<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peaty also took aim at why this information didn&#8217;t come from WADA until prodded by investigations into it, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailytelegraph.com.au\/sport\/olympics\/bombshell-more-than-20-chinese-swimmers-allowed-to-swim-at-the-tokyo-olympic-games-due-to-contamination-of-a-positive-drug-tests-prior\/news-story\/8dd18a84a9cd21f426016d81f9f4d724\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by the Daily Telegraph in Australia<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/04\/20\/world\/asia\/chinese-swimmers-doping-olympics.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times<\/a> and German broadcaster ARD.<\/p>\n<p>Five-time world champion <strong>Leon Marchand<\/strong> also responded:<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"art\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\ude33 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/McbIClkpS3\">https:\/\/t.co\/McbIClkpS3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash;
