Tes Schouten Goes 1:06 To Complete Breaststroke Double In Eindhoven<\/h4>\n

Tes Schouten<\/strong> posted 1:06.15 to wrap up the 100\/200 breaststroke double on the final day of the Eindhoven Qualification Meet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Netherlands swimmer, who claimed silver at the 2024 World Championships in Doha, split 31.38\/34.77 to add the two-length title to the 200 crown she won in 2:21.43, the second-fastest performance of her career.<\/p>\n

Spain duo Nayara Pineda Lopez<\/strong> and Jimena Ruiz Sanchez<\/strong> were next home in 1:09.02 and 1:09.64 respectively.<\/p>\n

Schouten has already posted the Olympic qualification time and travels to Paris as a real title contender over 200m, the 23-year-old thriving in her Amsterdam training group alongside Arno Kamminga<\/strong> and Caspar Corbeau<\/strong> as well as freestyle specialist Kenzo<\/strong> Simons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Corbeau and Kamminga were second and third respectively in the men’s 100m breaststroke, split by 0.01 in 59.66 and 59.67.<\/p>\n

The race was won by Melvin Imoudu<\/strong> in 59.33 as he followed up with his German record in the 50.<\/p>\n

The four-day meet served as an opportunity for swimmers to book a place on the Netherlands team for Paris 2024 with the 2023 Fukuoka worlds and Doha having also served as selection meets.<\/p>\n
