A 16-time All-American at the University of Texas and 14-time NCAA champion, he swam at three Olympics. He won gold in the medley relay at each, in 2004, 2008 and 2012. He claimed a silver medal in the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke at the 2004 Olympics in Athens as well as a bronze in the 200 breast. Eight years later, he secured bronze in the 100 breast in London.<\/p>\n<p>Hansen is a 10-time World Champion (six long-course, four short-course) among 13 total World Championships medals. He won five gold medals at the Pan Pacific Championships.
