His seed time is a 3:34.66. He\u2019ll be chasing the 3:28.82 that he did last year at NCAAs.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019ll have familiar company: The second seed is <strong>David Schlicht,<\/strong> who was outstanding in finishing sixth in the 200 IM. <strong>Zalan Sarkany<\/strong> is ninth and <strong>Cale Martter<\/strong> 10th. Hot on his heels is Virginia Tech\u2019s <strong>Youssef Ramadan,<\/strong> last year\u2019s champion. <strong>Andrei Minakov<\/strong> is in the mix, as is <strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong> of Arizona State. NC State is swimming well and has both <strong>Luke Miller<\/strong> and <strong>Aiden Hayes<\/strong> in the top eight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Destin Lasco<\/strong> will be one of several swimmers trying to swim down to the speed of the 100 back. The 200 IM champ will deal with <strong>Hubert Kos<\/strong> as the top seed, with <strong>Jonny Marshall<\/strong> of Florida second and Lasco third. Reigning silver medalist <strong>Kacper Stokowski<\/strong> is fourth, while last year\u2019s champ, <strong>Brendan Burns<\/strong> of Indiana, is seventh.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 free might be one of the week\u2019s most wide open event, bereft as it is of NCAA record holder Marchand. <strong>Macguire McDuff<\/strong> is the top seed in 1:30.64, but 1:32.00 covers the top 13 swimmers. <strong>Charlie Hawke<\/strong> is among them in second, followed by <strong>Chris Guiliano<\/strong> and <strong>Jordan Crooks.<\/strong> <strong>Luke Hobson<\/strong> may be the favorite, despite his eighth seed, and <strong>Gabriel Jett<\/strong> finished fourth in the 500. He\u2019s the fifth seed.<\/p>\n<p>Off a sensational 200 medley relay split, Cal\u2019s <strong>Liam Bell<\/strong> is the top seed in the 100 breast.
