Her time would stand with two heats to go.<\/p>\n<p>In the seventh of eight heats, Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Anna Peplowski<\/strong> was able to hold off a trio of Georgia swimmers to get to the wall in 4:34.72.<\/p>\n<p>The racing drama happened in the final heat.<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> took an early lead in the final prelims heat of the 500 free. But at the 300 mark, Stanford&#8217;s<strong> Aurora Roghair<\/strong> caught up.<\/p>\n<p>At the 350, Roghair was ahead. They turned together on the final 50 and Sims turned on the jets to finish in 4:35.01.<\/p>\n<p>Roghair was second in the heat in 4:35.34.<\/p>\n<p>Weyant had the top overall seed for finals, followed by Peploswki, Sims and Roghair.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia freshman <strong>Cavan Gormsen<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 4:36.07, followed by the Georgia trio, who all made the final. <strong>Dune Coetzee<\/strong> took the sixth seed in 4:26.27, followed by teammates<strong> Abby McCulloh<\/strong> (4:36.40) and <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong> (4:37.40).<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 3  Women 500 Yard 4:38.87 (27.55)<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>NCAA Women&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h2>\n<p>Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Alex Walsh<\/strong> looked smooth and strong on her way to the top seed in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>She didn&#8217;t lead start to finish, however.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> took the lead after the butterfly and continued that lead after the backstroke. But Walsh took over during the breaststroke leg, as she often does, and had a second and a half lead heading into the freestyle leg. Walsh cruised into the wall at 1:51.95.<\/p>\n<p>In the eighth of nine heats, Florida&#8217;s <strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> led after the butterfly but was overtaken by NC State&#8217;s <strong>Kennedy Noble<\/strong> after the backstroke. She stunned with a first 25 of 9.99.<\/p>\n<p>Walsh set the previous mark at the ACC Championships in February. Now she has the meet record as well, which was set by LSU&#8217;s <strong>Maggie Mac Neil<\/strong> (20.79) two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>In the sixth of eight heats, NC State&#8217;s <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> sprinted to a 21.23 and took the second seed.<\/p>\n<p>In the seventh heat, Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Jasmine Nocentini<\/strong> went a 21.29 to take the third seed.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Christiana Regenauer<\/strong> and <strong>Gabi Albiero<\/strong> took the next two spots.<\/p>\n<p>Three Louisville swimmers made the final, however there was a three-way tie for seventh, which required a three-way swim-off.<\/p>\n<p>In the swim-off, Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Maxine Parker<\/strong> went a 21.61 and Louisville&#8217;s<strong> Julia Dennis<\/strong> went a 21.83 to also make the final, giving the Cardinals three up.<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 5  Women 50 Yard
