{"id":581357,"date":"2024-03-21T06:00:45","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=581357"},"modified":"2024-03-20T19:05:58","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T02:05:58","slug":"ncaa-womens-championships-louisville-aims-for-sprint-success-day-2-heat-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-womens-championships-louisville-aims-for-sprint-success-day-2-heat-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"NCAA Women&#8217;s Championships: Louisville Aims For Sprint Success (Day 2 Heat Sheets)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2024 NCAA Women&#8217;s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships will continue from Athens, Georgia, with the Day 2 preliminary sessions.<\/p>\n<p>The session begins at 10 a.m. ET and will consist of the 500 freestyle, 200 IM and 50 freestyle before 1-meter diving prelims.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2024-ncaa-womens-division-i-championships-day-2-prelims-heat-sheets-day-2\/ncaa-college\/2024\/March\/21?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There will be eight NCAA heats of the 500 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>The top seed in the 500 freestyle is Flordia&#8217;s <strong>Bella Sims,<\/strong> who led off the winning 800 free relay on Day 1 for the Gators.<\/p>\n<p>She will be flanked by Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Aurora Roghair<\/strong> and Arizona State&#8217;s <strong>Lindsay Looney<\/strong> in the eighth and final heat.<\/p>\n<p>Host Georgia has the No. 2 overall seed in <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong> and she will be flanked by teammates <strong>Dune Coetzee<\/strong> and <strong>Abby McCulloh<\/strong> in the seventh heat.<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> is the third seed and will be in Lane 4 for the sixth heat.<\/p>\n<p>There will be nine heats of the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia senior<strong> Alex Walsh<\/strong> is the top seed and will be in the ninth heat, flanked by teammate <strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong> and Texas fifth-year <strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s Isabel Ivey and Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Josephine Fuller<\/strong> are each anchoring seeded heats as well.<\/p>\n<p>There will be eight NCAA heats of the 50 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Record-holder <strong>Gretchen Walsh<\/strong> is the top seed and will be flanked by Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Julia Dennis<\/strong> and <strong>Christiana Regenauer<\/strong> in the eighth heat.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia&#8217;s<strong> Jasmine Nocentini<\/strong> is the second seed and <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> of NC State the third, while Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Gabi Albiero<\/strong> will look to make a move in the seventh heat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2024 NCAA Women&#8217;s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships will continue from Athens, Georgia, with the Day 2 preliminary sessions.
