These are not the final entry lists for the meet, which will be held March 27-30 at IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, as only a select number of athletes will be invited to compete in each event, but the top seeds for each event will remain unchanged.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2024-ncaa-mens-championships-psych-sheet-ncaa-college-2024-03-27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to view the full psych sheet<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s national rankings were rewritten last week at the Pac-12 Championships as Arizona State stormed to the top times in the country in eight out of 13 individual events and four out of five relays, with times including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pac-12-mens-championships-arizona-state-sets-ncaa-record-in-200-medley-relay-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the fastest ever in the 200 medley relay<\/a> and No. 2 all-time performances in the 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Individually,\u00a0<strong>Hubert Kos<\/strong> is the only three-event top seed, with the Hungarian Sun Devil topping the field in both backstrokes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pac-12-mens-championships-day-4-finals-hubert-kos-knocks-off-ryan-murphys-ncaa-record-in-200-backstroke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">setting an NCAA record over 200 yards at Pac-12s<\/a>, and he is also seeded first in the 200 IM. His ASU teammate <strong>Leon Marchand<\/strong> not opted to race the 200 IM, a race in which he is the two-time defending NCAA champion and fastest swimmer ever by two seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Marchand will race 500 free, an event in which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pac-12-mens-championships-day-2-finals-leon-marchand-sets-ncaa-record-in-500-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he set the NCAA record at Pac-12s<\/a>, forcing swimmers like Sun Devils teammate <strong>Zalan Sarkany<\/strong>, Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Jake Magahey<\/strong>, Florida&#8217;s <strong>Jake Mitchell<\/strong>, Cal&#8217;s<strong> Gabriel Jett<\/strong> and Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Luke Hobson <\/strong>to battle for second. Marchand will also race\u00a0the 400 IM and 200 breaststroke, events in which NCAA records in all three events last season.<\/p>\n<p>Also holding down top seeds for Arizona State is <strong>Zalan Sarkany<\/strong>, who is first by a huge margin in the 1650 free while sitting second to Marchand in the 500 free. The last Arizona State swimmer to be seeded first is\u00a0freshman\u00a0<strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong>, considered the big favorite in the 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>The sprint events should be among the most exciting of the meet, with the Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan Crooks<\/strong> as the defending champion and top seed in the 50 free while\u00a0<strong>Chris Guiliano<\/strong> enters his first NCAA Championships as a favorite after unexpectedly qualifying for the U.S. World Championships team last year. Those swimmers will be joined as top contenders by defending 100 free champion\u00a0<strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong> (Florida) and two-time World Championships silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> (Cal), with Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Gui Caribe<\/strong>, Florida&#8217;s <strong>Mcguire McDuff<\/strong> and the Sun Devils&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Jonny Kulow<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> among the big names.<\/p>\n<p>McDuff, meanwhile, is the top seed in the 200 free, where he will try to hold off a group including defending champion Hobson, Jett, Guiliano and\u00a0<strong>Charlie Hawke<\/strong> of Alabama.
