He\u2019s just .28 ahead of <strong>Leon Marchand<\/strong>. That is Sarkany\u2019s best time in the three semesters he\u2019s been in college. Marchand went 4:07.81 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/leon-marchand-sets-national-best-time-in-500-free-with-407-vs-arizona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last year, a Pac-12 record<\/a>. Arizona State earned two other A final spots, with <strong>Julian Hill<\/strong> fifth and <strong>Daniel Matheson<\/strong> seventh.<\/p>\n<p>With many of Cal\u2019s big guns opting for the Pro Swim Series this week, it would seem there\u2019s little impeding Arizona State storming to a title. The latter is tied with USC\u2019s <strong>Artem Selin<\/strong> for third.
