Leonardo Deplano Book Tickets For Paris At Italian Olympic Trials"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Lisa Angiolini &amp; Leonardo Deplano Book Tickets For Paris At Italian Olympic Trials<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Lisa Angiolini<\/strong> and Leonardo Deplano booked places on the Italy team for Paris 2024 at the Olympic trials in Riccione.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/fin2024.microplustiming.com\/NU_2024_03_05-09_Riccione_web.php?s=TG9hZENhbGVuZGFyaW8oJzAnKTs=&amp;cat=ASF&amp;page=005&amp;spec=007&amp;bat=001&amp;td=CGR1&amp;hg=&amp;descIT=RG9ubmXCoC3CoDgwMCBtIFN0aWxlIExpYmVybyAtIFNlcmll&amp;descEN=RG9ubmXCoC3CoDgwMG0gRnJlZXN0eWxlIC0gU2VyaWU=&amp;descFR=RG9ubmXCoC3CoDgwMCBtIE5hZ2UgTGlicmUgLSBTZXJpZQ==&amp;curCatSel_M_F=\">Link to results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s the third stage of qualifying following last November&#8217;s Italian Open and the World Championships last month.<\/p>\n<p>Should any slots remain after this week&#8217;s meet, then there will be a final chance to qualify at the <strong>Sette Colli Trophy<\/strong> in Rome in June.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gregorio Paltrinieri<\/strong>, <strong>Thomas Ceccon<\/strong>, <strong>Alberto Razzetti<\/strong>, <strong>Nicolo Martinenghi<\/strong>, <strong>Alessandro Miressi<\/strong>, <strong>Lorenzo Zazzeri<\/strong> and <strong>Manuel Frigo<\/strong> have already booked their tickets among the men.<\/p>\n<p>While<strong>\u00a0Benedetta Pilato<\/strong>, <strong>Sara Franceschi<\/strong> and <strong>Simona Quadarella<\/strong> have also secured Olympic berths.<\/p>\n<p>Angiolini booked a berth alongside Pilato in the 100m breaststroke, making up a deficit of 0.06 at the turn to overhaul <strong>Martina Carraro<\/strong> and stop the clock at 1:06.00, 0.30secs inside the qualification time.<\/p>\n<p>Carraro (1:06.82) and <strong>Arianna Castiglioni<\/strong> (1:06.89) came in behind Angiolini.<\/p>\n<p>Deplano won the men&#8217;s 50 free in 21.93 ahead of Giovanni Izzo (22.09) and Miressi (22.15) and although his winning time was outside the cut on the night, the two-time world relay silver medallist qualifies by virtue of his 21.81 at last month&#8217;s World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>A 27.51 final 50 propelled <strong>Luca De Tullio<\/strong> past his brother Marco to take the 400 free in 3:47.09 to 3:47.15 with <strong>Davide Marchello<\/strong> third in 3:47.43.<\/p>\n<p>However, none were inside the cut of 3:44.6.<\/p>\n<p>Neither did <strong>Giacomo Carini&#8217;s<\/strong> winning 200 fly time of 1:56.19 book a place for Paris in an event missing <strong>Federico Burdisso<\/strong>, the Tokyo bronze medallist.<\/p>\n<p>Francesci &#8211; already on the plane thanks to her bronze at the Doha worlds &#8211; won the women&#8217;s 400IM in 4:38.87 ahead of <strong>Francesca Fresia<\/strong> whose time of 4:38.93 was outside the cut.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noemi Ceserano<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 800 free in 8:36.73<\/p>\n<p>A notable performace was delivered by\u00a0<strong>Michele Lamberti<\/strong> in the non-Olympic men&#8217;s 50 back, winning in 24.47, 0.07 outside Ceccon&#8217;s Italian record of 24.40 set at the 2022 European Championships in Rome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lisa Angiolini &amp;
