They capped the meet in emphatic fashion, the women\u2019s 400 free relay setting a conference record and the men downing the meet record.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s squad went 3:08.00 to lop a second off the record that had stood since 2017. It took Florida to 1,391.5 points, 200 clear of Tennessee for the Gators\u2019 second straight title and 19th overall.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s 12 in a row for the men and 45 total crowns. They picked up three individual win on the day and blasted a meet record in the 400 free relay to accrue 1,584 points, a stunning 480 more than the runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>Florida also took home two pieces of individual hardware. <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> was awarded the women&#8217;s SEC Commissioner&#8217;s Trophy with 96 points, the top scorer on the women&#8217;s side. The Gators&#8217; <strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong> split the men&#8217;s award with <strong>Baylor Nelson<\/strong> of Texas A&amp;M, each scoring 91 points.<\/p>\n<p>All the action from the final day at the James E. She denied <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> of Florida a third individual title, though the winning margin of more than 13 seconds indicated that it was never really in doubt. McCulloh, a junior, is the only A cut of the bunch. She was just 2 seconds off the pool record of Stephanie Peacock from 2012 and 4.4 off <strong>Brittany MacLean\u2019s<\/strong> meet mark from 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Weyant was nearly eight seconds up on <strong>Hayden Miller<\/strong> of Texas A&amp;M, who garnered bronze. Taylor went 14:38.41. Lindscheer, a sophomore, whittled all by the last .37 seconds out of that, closing in 25.13. He was 2.5 seconds back as they turned for the final 100 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Third was <strong>Levi Sandidge<\/strong> of Kentucky, who scored the surprise victory in this event last year. He went 14:44.24. Teammate <strong>Carson Hick<\/strong> was fifth, behind Auburn\u2019s <strong>Mason Mathias,<\/strong> fourth for the second straight year. <strong>Jake Mitchell<\/strong> and <strong>Oskar than a second. He downs the time set at the 2021 championships by Texas A&amp;M\u2019s <strong>Shaine Casas<\/strong> at 1:36.85. He also takes down a Casas pool mark from 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Marshall went out in 46.08, by which point the race was all but over. Reigning champion <strong>Bradley Dunham<\/strong> clocked in at 1:37.80, good for an A cut and a silver medal. <strong>Aidan Stoffle<\/strong> grabbed the hosts a medal in 1:38.78, the third NCAA A cut. His brother <strong>Nathaniel Stoffle<\/strong> was fifth. Aidan was fourth and Nathaniel seventh last year. It\u2019s the only A cut in the field and left her nearly a second quicker than Florida\u2019s <strong>Micayla Cronk. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brooklyn Douthwright<\/strong> made it two Volunteers on the podium by finishing third in 47.76, edging Texas A&amp;M\u2019s <strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> by .01. Auburn grad student <strong>Ashlynn Sullivan<\/strong> was a distant third in 273.85.
