BUCS Long Course Championships<\/h4>\n<p>Ten days after winning the 800 free world title in Doha, <strong>Daniel Wiffen<\/strong> posted the third-fastest time of his career at the <strong>BUCS Long Course Championships<\/strong> in Sheffield.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old went 7:43.03 for a time eclipsed only by his European record of 7:39.19 for fourth at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka and the 7:40.94 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-daniel-wiffen-makes-history-for-ireland-with-800-free-gold\/\">that earned him gold<\/a> in Doha.<\/p>\n<p>It followed his 1500 free victory on Friday in 14:42.05 with <strong>Tyler Melbourne-Smith<\/strong> matching his second place from the longest race in the pool, 21.01secs adrift of the Irishman in 8:04.06.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/results.swimming.org\/swimming\/results\/2024\/bucslc24\/\">BUCS Long Course Championships Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/daniel-wiffen-sets-bucs-1500-free-record-as-freya-colbert-also-makes-winning-return-after-world-titles\/\">Day 1 report<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Freya Colbert<\/strong> also returned from the Qatari capital <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-8-finals-great-britains-freya-colbert-rallies-down-stretch-for-400-im-gold\/\">a world champion with victory in the 400IM<\/a> in 4:37.14.<\/p>\n<p>Six days on, she went 4:40.15 for victory at Ponds Forge ahead of <strong>Katie Shanahan<\/strong> (4:44.50) to add to her 200 free win on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Max Litchfield<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-8-finals-lewis-clareburt-blasts-freestyle-to-steal-away-400-im-world-title\/\">marked his return to the international stage<\/a> with 400IM silver in Doha and he enjoyed a clear victory at Ponds Forge in 4:13.58.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angharad Evans<\/strong> posted 1@06.65 to win the 100m breaststroke ahead of 2020 European champion <strong>Sophie Hansson<\/strong> (1:06.95).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Greg Butler<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 100br in 1:00.63 with <strong>Archie Goodburn<\/strong> second in 1:01.72 as the pair reversed their finishing positions of the 50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kornelia Fiedkiewicz<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 100 free in 54.58 with <strong>Alex Cohoon<\/strong> taking the title ahead of <strong>David Cumberlidge<\/strong>, the pair dipping inside 50secs in 49.62 and 49.88 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oli Morgan<\/strong> added the 200 back to his 100 victory in 1:57.81 with <strong>Honey Osrin<\/strong> winning the women&#8217;s title in 2:08.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fleur Lewis<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 800 free in 8:40.93, a day after claiming the 1500 and <strong>Keanna Macinnes<\/strong> added the 50 fly in 26.69 to her 100 gold, <strong>Josh Gammon<\/strong> taking the open title in 23.75.<\/p>\n<p>Fiedkiewicz posted a 54.33 anchor as Loughborough won the women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:43.17 with Edinburgh winning the open category in
